This almost untouched part of the Vienna Woods has served for centuries as a preserve for wild boar and red deer. Emperor Joseph II had a 14- mile- long wall erected to protect the surrounding agriculture from the wild animals. Particularly magnificent is the Hermesvilla, a gift from Emperor Franz Joseph for his wife "Sisi."
