Parks and Greens
Green is the color of this wonderful Austrian capital. The city is rich in greens, thus, parks and gardens are almost everywhere. I’m not talking about your average parks. Vienna Woods, Danube Island and the Old Danube are rich in woody plants, sculptures and places of rest, recreation and sports! In Stadtpark, you will find a different environment. Considered a link between the city center and the third district, Stadtpark has a playground for children (kinderpark). You’ll never run out of sights to see in Stadtpark. There are monuments such as Johann Strauss II monument, one of the most photographed monuments in Vienna.
Vienna City Marathon
Running tracks have been cleaned and conditioned in preparation for Vienna City Marathon in April 27, 2008. Running throughout Vienna, joining the marathon is an excellent way to go sight seeing the cities magnificent and historical buildings. What a better way to exercise and go on a tour? It is the widest running event in Vienna you shouldn’t miss.
