The "wrenkh" restaurant at Bauernmarkt is not only known for its creative and sophisticated vegetarian cuisine but also for hearty steaks and inventive fish dishes.

Shortly after opening his restaurant in 1988, Christian Wrenkh's inventive vegetarian cuisine received ist first "Toque". The renovation and design of "wrenkh bar" by the architects Eichinger & Knechtl created a classic architectual masterpiece. The architectur mirrows the style of cuisine unparallelly: top- notch materials, formed into simple lines.

Christian Wrenkh descripes the style of his restaurants as follows: "We strive for a strong, obvoius taste in our culinary creations. Our creations include vegetables and fruits in all shapes including reductions and fonds. Equally important to us are the colors and contrasts - they add the charme and ingenuity that makes our cuisine unique. In our search for the best taste, we are trying not to be of culinary prejeduice. We enjoy to combine and mix unusual ingredients. By that we are following our feelings and emotions and put together what fits together."
