Planters

Apparently modelled on the architecture of a colonial Indian railway station, Planter's is one of Vienna's best loved bars, with luxurious leather chairs, the relaxing sight of palm trees and gorgeous teak panelling all round. Cocktails and cognacs are a strength here, though rum and cigars appear most popular with the well- to- do clientele of all ages. Great service, with a strict dress code to get through the door. No baggy jeans please!
